Realizing Quick Change of Fixture by Zero Point Positioning System
The role of the zero point positioning system is to help users realize the toolingFixturewithMachine toolsBetween quick positioning and clamping, reducing the auxiliary time in machining. It consists of two parts: zero point locator (concave head) and positioning joint (convex head). The zero point locator clamps the positioning joint through balls with large diameter and high rigidity. When 60bar hydraulic pressure or 6bar air pressure is applied to the zero point locator, the balls spread out to both sides, and the positioning joint can freely enter and leave the zero point locator. When the pressure is cut off, the balls gather to the center and lock the positioning joint. The repeatable positioning accuracy between the two parts is 0.002mm, while a clamping force of 5 kN to 30 kN is provided. When in use, the zero point locator (concave head) is installed on the machine tool worktable. The position of the concave head on the machine tool worktable is marked as zero point. According to actual processing needs, multiple locator concave heads (at least 2) can be installed. The convex head of the positioning joint is fastened with the fixture, tooling or workpiece through the positioning step and bolt (at least 2 convex heads of the positioning joint are installed for each fixture, tooling or workpiece).

When a workpiece needs to be processed, it can be directly installed on the machine tool worktable through the zero-point positioning system without adjusting the position and alignment accuracy. The whole process can be completed within 1 minute (in the past, the time for replacing fixtures or workpieces to align the position accuracy and adjustment was often more than 1 hour or more), thus greatly reducing the auxiliary time for machining and improving the actual production efficiency of the machine tool.
